chapter three discusses the various software available today. Productivity software consists of word processing, spread sheets, database, and presentation graphic software. aside from these forms of software there are many that can be used on a personal basis. PMI software can be used in day to day life. It contains calendar, addressbooks, notepads and much more.
the new skills that i have learned since the last posting is in short everything. i had no knowledge of computer software and was not interested in it. i now know that there is software out there for every aspect of life. from classroom management to personal finance. its a whole new world.
I have been doing observation hours in a local elementary school for another class, while i was in the classroom i was able to get a look at the teachers computer software where she kept track of grades. i found it very interesting because i had only seen the old hand writren grade book. I feel that after this class i will have the knowledge needed to make this new method quick and easy.

Its great that you are learning about software and taking this class will definitely help you get in the swing of the high tech world.
I wish that we'd learn to use a grading program in here. Anyone in education will need to use one, and we have really no idea how they work...oh well.
