Chapter eight talks about computer virus, it discusses what one is and how they are spread. The book also discusses signs of a virus, how one spreads, as well as what to do to remove one if you get it . There are antivirus programs to help prevent your computer from being attacked. Later the chapter talks about some of the laws governing the Internet such as privacy acts, parental control, and general ethics.

This chapter taught me a lot about what to look for in my computer to detect a virus. I have had more than my share of computer viruses and crashes, so this chapter really hit home for me. I feel that the laws governing the Internet are much needed in today's society. The world is getting smaller each day and we should feel safe. an the other hand I think that we need to be careful not to step over the line into censorship.

Not much to report on the personal front. Finals are becoming a bit of a burden. I have actually been using some of the things I learned in this class for a few of my final presentations. It has helped a ton.

Viruses annoy the heck out of me. Just do not open any unfamiliar emails and down load crap.

If you know how to backup effectively and how to reinstall Windows, viruses aren't that scary.

Finals are always a burden. lol I still have a paper (or two) to do in about an hour, and they're VERY important.
